Week 0: Oct 11 – Oct 20, 2026: Goals for the Next 12 Months
3rd sem is done, so I'm locking in. My realistic 12-month plan to pass CPTS and BSCP, how I'm tracking it, and how the weekly updates will work.
On this page
I told y’all I’d document what I do week to week, so before the weekly updates start, here’s the plan. 3rd sem is done, the site is updated, and I finally have room to breathe. Time to lock in.
The goal for the next 12 months: pass CPTS and BSCP by December 2027, and publish 20+ write-ups on my site to show for it.
No “get really good at AppSec” vibes, just stuff I can check off.
The Plan
1. CPTS First priority. I’ve been doing structured daily study for it and I’m at 12th module right now. Target: exam-ready by April 2027 , passed by June 2027.
2. BSCP Second. PortSwigger Academy is the prep, so after CPTS I’ll finish the remaining labs and make proper notes (not just walkthroughs).
3. If time allows
- HTB, going for pure skills and knowledge
- PentesterLab
- Leveling up Python and Java
Checkpoints
- 5 months: CPTS modules mostly done
- 8 months: CPTS passed
- 12 months: PortSwigger finished, BSCP notes done
- 12 months: BSCP passed
How I’m Tracking It
I built a tracker with a built-in timer that shows how many modules I’ve covered and how much time I’ve put in. It’s my source of truth, so the weekly posts will have real numbers instead of vibes.
The Weekly Updates
Every Sunday, I’ll post:
- What I did
- What I learned
- Tracker stats
- What’s blocking me
I won’t publish next week’s plan in advance. I’d rather show up and report what actually happened.
Outside the Grind
My research for the next conference is done and I’m all set. I’m also growing The Darknet Community’s Mumbai chapter and running group studies with some people I met on Discord.
Conclusion
It’s a lot, and some days I’ll be drained because life outside this is busy too. But this is what I actually want to do. One week at a time.
Let’s see how this journey goes.
